Privacy Policy
The Privacy Policy, as an instrument to support compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) — Regulation (EU) 2016/679, of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 27, 2016 — and the respective applicable national legislation, facilitates compliance with the law and promotes greater transparency of practices and procedures, providing the master guidelines for the pursuit of a public service of excellence, with the following main objectives:
- Ensure the fundamental rights and duties of all COMPETE 2030 users and workers;
- Promote the ethical performance of entities and disseminate data protection standards in accordance with good national and international practices;
- Consolidate citizens’ trust and respect for their privacy.
The Privacy Policy of the Innovation and Digital Transition Programme — COMPETE 2030 — involves a set of data protection rules and principles, which govern all activities carried out by these entities, being applicable to all their users and workers, regardless of the purpose of the former and the position, career, category and functions performed, as well as the contractual relationship of the latter.
Compliance with this Privacy Policy is mandatory and, therefore, all employees, officers and third parties related to COMPETE 2030 have the responsibility to ensure compliance with it and, if necessary, should request clarification from the Data Protection Officer (DPO). This compliance can be monitored by means of inspections, audits or written requests for confirmation of compliance, and all areas of the entities involved are responsible for regularly assessing their compliance within their area of responsibility.
The application of this Privacy Policy does not exempt compliance with other duties resulting from the law, nor does it prevent the application of other rules of conduct or ethics applicable to certain functions, activities, or professional groups.
